Continuity billing.  When possible, bill for all continuity in advance. Do not bill in arrears, especially if you’re talking about a physical product.

Always offer to stop the continuity before offering refunds.

So in other words what that means, that’s part of the stick stuff that we talked about, is always offer to stop the continuity program before you say, “Let me refund your money.”  “Okay great, we’ve got you canceled.  We’re going to go ahead and put that in place now.  You will not receive anything else.  Thank you so much, and have a great day.”

Don’t even start getting into the refund part.  You have just stopped it, and let them keep the order that they’ve already purchased.  Again, this is more in the retention side.

If you provide a great service, be proud of it.

You deserve to keep the money for the service that you’ve provided to them.  Of course, you wouldn’t be providing an inferior service.

Most cancellations will be from lack of use.  Just know that.

Review your shipments, and be sure that you don’t end up with product build up on the shelves.  Poll your customers and find out.

This is really more in the retention side too, but you’ve gotta make sure that with your continuity billing, you don’t let them build up product on the shelf.

That will kill you.

Review the next sections in greater detail on what to deliver to prevent refunds, cancellations, and charge backs.  I’m going to go into some real good detail now on how to make sure that you are retaining all of the orders that you’re placing.

I’ve got some great cutting edge programs that have helped save people hundreds of thousands, actually millions of dollars.  I can actually say millions of dollars.

It helped save millions of dollars for those who have implemented it.”
